So basicly I picked up the tank and background from a lfs for $10 and built everything else. I routed the intake for my homebuilt canister filter through the back of the background and under the sand. The heater is also under the sand. The return on the filter hangs from above abd pours in and lightly waves the plant. its only a day old in this pic so the water is still a little cloudy and I plan on adding more plants and livestock eventually.
