GBR bottom fin damaged

About a week after I got my female GBR (I've had her for about 5 weeks) I noticed a small "sore" on one of her bottom fins and didn't think much of it. Figured it would go away. Well, its not going away and now she's not using that fin.

It could have happened when I first introduced her to tank and my EBR took a few nips at her, but now they're inseparable. Is there something I can do to help it heal?

She's the same. I started dosing Melafix yesterday so we'll see how it goes.

Ensure you filters are clean and your doing regular WC with a healthy diet. A lot of time things like this will heal up. Keep us posted.

I usually do 2 water changes a week. The Melafix instructions say to do 25% change after a week of dosing daily. Is it important to not do more than one during that week cycle? Seems like a long time to go without a water change while dosing meds daily.

I figured cause of daily.dosing.meds the water changes wouldn't be an issue. It just a little less dose than normal.
