What age do mollies usually gender? I have a couple generations of fry and the oldest generation (maybe 3 months) has not gendered get. But one of my little ones is suddenly male (and trying to woo the big girls) he's still super little though? Is this normal?
I've attached a photo with him beside his mom and another where you can hopefully see his anal fin, it's kind of blurry though.

The males have a gonopodium, a very pointed stick looking part on the bottom fins next to the anal vent.

The females have a more rounded fin instead

Some young fish seem to hide their identity, especially if there is a very dominant male or lots of males.

If a male fish can do his thing he wants to do it, lol. Livebearer fish's point in life is to have babies, and hundreds of them. In nature the babies are food for other fish so livebearers have a gazillion so some will survive. :)

Thank you for your response, my question is more when do they usually gender? At what age. None of the older generations have yet, but this little guy from a younger generation has.
