Ghost Shrimp

I got 20 ghost shrimp about six months ago. I was told their lifespan was about 2 weeks to 2 months. Three of them are still alive and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long they've kept them alive for? I'm just curious as to how far off their "expected" lifespan was.

I have some that are 3 years old.

And somehow I've managed to get my brackish tank "perfect" enough for their fry to survive.

I had one of mine lay eggs. Unfortunately, the babies only suvived for about a week.

That's normal, which is why my hubby and I were surprised to see little shrimp climbing around since we hadn't added any new ones in over two years.
