Gold nugget with internal parasites?

Dont know if my gold nugget pleco has internal parasites ... I just have never seen him eat or try to get close to any algea wafers or zucchini that i add in there...

What should i do to help him?? Walmart is right down the hill from my house so i can probably go get anything from there...
