Goldfish Companions

My sister has three goldfish (1.5 inches). She is looking to find suitable tankmates for them. What can be kept with goldfish? I know they are coldwater fish but have no idea what can be kept with them.

What temp. does she keep the tank at? that would be a good starting place for us to give you help with. Off the top of my head, another coldwater fish that comes to mind are white cloud mountain minnows, but they are pretty small. when the goldfish get big, they could see little fishes as a meal.
