My green spotted puffer turns gray as soon as i turn the light on. It usually takes around 30 seconds until he is gray.
I have him in a 10 gallon setup (hes less than an inch long = ill move him soon to an upgraded tank :D ) with a small black mollie.
They get along fine and are good tank mates.
water tested and its perfect. weekly waterchanges n all that ..
My other GSP doesnt have this problem so im wondering what it could be??!
thanks!

Most fish "gray out" during the transition from lights off/lights on. They will also gray out during stress, however, if you're noticing this only when you turn the lights on, it's normal behavior.

yes its only when i turn the lights on but it does not go away until they are back off .. that is the problem ... ?

i recently also tried to change my 50/50 to the standard incandecent bulbs but that did not help either .. ?

I don't know much about keeping puffers. Do they require dimmer light? Some species do.
