Im a little worried about 2 GSPs. I put in a new hiding place a few days ago. Now all they do is hide underneath it.

They look healthy, no visible symptoms. They also swim around occasionally.

They are pretty young, is feeding once a day with a krill too much?
Also, I put in a DIY filter that has some electrical tape exposed to the water...could this be contaminating the H20?

The water is brackish, I did a 20% change friday and upped the salt to 4 tbsps/gal from 3 tbsps/gal.

Lost a puffer yesterday. I checked the water and pH nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia are all fine.

I suspect that the tape glue dissolved some contaminates into the water...Im going to give the water a change tonight, if the last puffer is still standing.

Its kind of playin myself by commenting on my own post. haaa

What is your DIY filter composed of?

How did you acclimate the fish? In the store, puffers are usually kept in fresh water for convenience sake. Dumping them straight into brackish water will cause problems if they came from fresh water.
