Hair grass carpet journal.

Hey guys I'm gong to make a hair grass carpet journal so you can all see it grow and decide if you want one.

So I'm running co2 glass diffuser, around 3-4 bps, dosing pps-pro, 45 gallon.

And I have about 3.4 wpg

Unfortunately I didn't take a picture on day 1 so here is day 2!

And also a before picture, about a week ago so all my plants are much smaller looking.

I will be following along. I am also trying to get hair grass to carpet. I can get it to grow fine, but I am really fighting what I think is BBA on my plants. Be interested to see how yours goes.

Day 3 starting to see some stringers around the patches.

Day 4 I'm getting more and more stringers, no point in a picture.

Once there's a drastic change ill up another photo.

Following, I am going to do a DHG carpet in my latest iwagumi tank, but im doing mine using DSM so I want to see how this goes!

DSM is definitely the way to do DHG. It's really quite ridiculous how fast it grows once it's acclimated and happy.

Thats about 2-3 weeks after cutting up a 1"x1" square from another tub.

I'm not worried I have no problem trimming once a week.

I have to trim all the time cause of how much light I have going on. Since I got my new light plant growth has exploded.

Compare this with first photo (week before HO t5)

awesome deal AC, I cant wait to start mine off. Florio, that is awesome growth, I had the same experience after I added some high powered LED's to one of my tanks

Haha thanks! I was pretty amazed going from 1 t8 to 4 t5's

In a week I grew as much as I would in months. And all my plants looked for the most part very healthy.

Yeah I had 2 48" T5HO's on my 60g, then I added 2 48" TrueLumen Pro 8,000k LED strips and BAM! lol.

You can really see it starting to spread out.

The full carpet seems like it's going to take a couple months.

Quick update, more spread, you can see grass growing on side of tank ( pretty cool lookin )

I'm probably 3/8th the way there.
