I am interested in getting a small harlequin tusk around 2-3 inches is this possible (I've been told by LFS it is difficult to get this size) also how hardy are they at this size and in general? How well do they acclimate?TIA

When I worked for an LFS, I used to do the buying. I would actually go to the Largest SW fishfarm in the US and walk around and pick my fish out (it was very cool), there was only one time I found any small tusks, they were about 1', just babies. They were Australlians, I got one and put it in my reef tank, after a slow acclimation and quarantine for three weeks, it entered the reef, dove into the rock work and was never seen again. Personally I would opt for 3-4" I've seen them fairly often at about 4".

Hello
They are pretty and cool
I think they are perfect for a larger size tank
They are not Mean fish but will eat smaller one so be carefull
Good Luck Gary
