Hawaiian Zebra Hermit Crabs

I heard these crabs eat cyano algae, and they don't bother snails. Are they reef safe? Do any of you guys have them in your tank? TIA

These are listed as "reef safe" but it is always a gamble. I have not found any invert that will actually rid a tank of cyno.

i've got them and they do not eat cyano. they are fun little guys and they haven't bothered any of my snails or my starfish but if something dies in the tank, they are all over it.
