HC compatibility with sand

Good day everyone!

I am interested in getting Baby tears Dwarf to cover all the floor but currently I am using Tahitian black sand and I don't know if HC will do well with sand.

Please let me know!

Its much more a matter of CO2, lights, and ferts than it is substrate size. That being said, finer substrates work well with HC because of it's fine root structure.
