My heater malfunctioned yesterday. The temp was at 92. I have since got the temp down to 78, running an extra canister filter with tons of carbon and poly fill. Removed one dead cardinal, cleaner shrimp, and scrapped my xenia off with a razor because it was melting. Did a massive water change. First 25 yesterday, 10 gallons this morning and 10 gallons this evening for a total of 45 gallons. The tank is a 58 gallon tank. This evening I came home and my green monti cap is dead, missing tonga mushrooms, a slightly pale chalice, and a pissed off frog spawn. My toad stool leather, clam, zoas, pineapple brain and remaining fish look ok. Is there anything else I can do? Should I continue to see die off? (please say no LOL). How long should I continue to run the carbon and do water changes?
