Heater question.

In the process of setting up my 55g. It's a slow process since I'm taking summer classes, but any who... Since I have a 5g with an incandescent light, I never had a need for a heater because the light gets so hot it ends up heating up the water.

I was going to buy one for a 55g but just the whole submersible thing scares me more than I thought it would.

What's a good brand to buy and is there anything I need to look out for???

I like the Finnex 100w DIGITAL Titanium Heater w/controller http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merc...duct_Code=FI-HMD-100&Category_Code=Finnexheat. My tank drained below the heater and it still works.

or just get a Hydor inline heater. No need to submerge. It plugs in to the return hose. No scare there.
