Hi my name is Genevieve. I received a really nice gift 2 weeks ago a 29 gallon with everything I needed to start it

My friend also brought me some fish yesterday platy and zebra danio I hope to learn a lot about fish and aquarium

Glad you're here! I've found this to be a wonderful community of knowledgeable people.

Is it just one Zebra Danio? These type of fish are schooling fish and need a group of 6-8 to be comfortable.
Platies are cool.. What color? I have a couple and a bunch of babies...

I have 4 danios and 9 platy

3 platy are yellow with a red tail
3 are yellow with red tail and black spot
3 are red with black fin and tail(still really small)
This is my first big tank.
My daughter have a 3 gallon with a betta( she received it for her birthday)

You need to read about cycling your tank or your fish will die within a week or two when the ammonia gets too high.
