HELP!! Crab id please

It is similar to my emerald crabs but it has a hairy body here are some pics best I could get cause he won't leave the rock about the size of a half dollar and there is also a smaller one that looks the same he is about the size of a dime

Could be a decorator crab. Look it up and see if it matches.

Don't know what kind but it looks like a bad boy judging from its claws. Try the jar method of trapping it. Baby jar, small pickle jar etc... Place it at a angle I front of its cave and place a piece of shrimp or scallop in there. If its hungry it should climb in and not be able to get back out. Cover with mesh. You might be able to get a better Id once you trap it.

Just did a google. Look up xanthid crabs see if any of the pics match I think that might be your culprit.

Ok I just noticed that one claw is bigger then the other if that means anything and he seems to be eating algae

If the op has a sump that could be a good place to keep it. I had an emeral crab that went rouge kille my pulsing Xenia and a very large head of my hammer coral! That guy was evicted right away.

So I pulled the rock out where they were living and smashed it lol got 3 gorilla crabs and a huge fire work here are some pics

I'd agree that they are gorilla crabs, but that looks like a bristle worm. Fireworms are massive and bright red.

I looked fire worms up and it def looked like one plus it was really aggressive when I took it out either way I wanted it out just in case.

Crab looks like a type in the pilumnus genus to me. Oh, and all bristle worms are fire worms (they are the same thing).
