Hello! I need a bit of help diagnosing my 11" pleco. I thought it was bacterial so I dosed a bit of Melafix last night, but this morning the white spots are worse (details below). Any help would be appreciated. If you think it is Ich, I have aquarium salt and would like to treat it that way. Since my other fish are so young would salt & high heat be too dangerous for them?

Symptoms (pictures at link on bottom):
-Losing his color. Instead of black, he now looks camouflage with a mix of black/greenish-brown.
-Cloud Eye (bacterial?)
-White Spots (White spots = ich, but the white spots showed up much later after the cloud eye, and I didn't think ich would cause cloud eye.)

He seems fairly normal otherwise.

Tankmates:
3 African Chiclid Fry
1 Jack Dempsey Fry
All appear fine

Tank Parameters:
75 Gallon
Nitrate: 20ppm
Nitrite: 0
GH: Between hard and very hard
Chlorine: 0
KH: 160
pH: 7
Ammonia: 0
Temp: 76F

Do a 50% water change for starters. Is his respiration rate up a lot, if so it could be a protozoan problem, Maybe a gill parasite . Use Protozin as directed on container. If it is what it sounds like it progresses rapidly.
