I have some black, red, & white stuff growing in my tank and being new to this I do not know what it is or how to get rid of it...

The black stuff is covering the sand.
The red is covering the rock.
The white is in one spot on the rock but looks like dirty cotton.

Please help

Yep, Cyano. A bad case of it to. You need to siphon it out when you do your next PWC. If it picks up some sand so be it. What type water are you using?

Just to repeat what others have said... cyano. And I agree with melosu - it's not a mild case. Siphoning it out is a start but it's going to take a few months to get it gone for good. What all is in the tank, and how big is the tank?
