hey i bought a Stars and Stripes Puffer it's been with me for about a week now everything was going fine but today i woke up and he had brown patches all over his body is he under stress also he is just laying on this rock he is alive but he is not moving much what can i do THANKS

Need more info:

How large is your tank, how long has it been setup, what is the other stock in the tank, was the tank cycled, how large is the puffer, what/how much/how often are you feeding it, & lastly what is your current ph/sg/temp/nh3/no2/no3?

did it kinda look like this?

if so, he is just sleepy My toby does that when he wants lights out lol, he'll cuddle up into a rock and turn all splotchy.

ps this is what he looks like normally.
