This morning my betta in my 1 gallon tank was just sitting there on the bottom of the tank but every once in a while he will swim a bit. He is losing color. I added some aquarium salt, some api stress coat, took out the filter (he was getting stuck to it and couldn't get away) and did a 35% water change. Anything else I can do?

All I can think of is daily water changes to keep the water fresh. If you have a water test kit I would check water chemistry.

Also I'd try to run the filter on a low flow setting so there is some water filtration going on. And change to a new fish food packet if the present one looks a bit stale or anything.

Edit - is he eating?

He died this morning?

I'm sorry for your loss. :(

If you plan to restart the tank, try getting something a little mroe suitable for that size. Maybe a few plants and a couple of ghost or shrimp. 1 gallon too small for a betta.
