I'm a happy owner of AquaStyle 850 aquarium by Aqua One. I have always been fond of live plants in the tank, but with original lightning there is not too much green I can grow.
What would you guys (and girls, obviously) recommend to switch it to? I can't seem to find any original replacement in form of a T5 lightning, so I need help with deciding what would go with the tank. There's a few things that need to be kept in mind though:
- I have a very vague idea about lightning, as in how much would go with a tank like that or how much I need,
- I'm not afraid of doing a little bit of DIY, so ripping off the original lightning and putting anything else in it's place is a valid option,
- I have a cat at my place, so any form of hovering-over-tank lightning is a no-no-- too much cat's hairs in the air,
- I'm willing to spend around £150 (+/- £30) on it,
- It need to be something available in the UK...
that's quite a long list of requirements, but I believe we can make something up
