OK, i just got my overflow box, filled the tank and now i cant get it primed. The sump is full of water and i have a air hose (the kind you hook up to a airstone in a freshwater tank) and i am sucking trying to syphon and drinking a bunch of crap as water but cant seem to get it started. Is there another way to to this or a tip someone can help me with... am i missing something... gosh some one please help me

thanks jeremy

It's a siphon overflow? Fill the half of the overflow outside of the tank with water up to the drain level of the stand pipe, then stick your air tube inside of the siphon hose going from the tank to the stand pipe box and suck the air out of the siphone hose.

Just make sure you're getting into the top of the siphon tube and above the current water line. If you pump more water into the tank, is the overflow working? If so the air will eventually disappear over time.
