Help with Riccia... is this good quality?

Besides my struggles with Glosso which, thanks to the helpful folks on this forum I've tackled, so far, I'm having some trouble with riccia.

Here's some shots of my failed attempt to follow instructions at www.nature-aquarium.com.

Doesn't seem to be of the same quality as those pics at nature-aquarium.com. It's more like Riccia-dust in miniscule pieces that blow around my tank and accumulate at the surface. Is this the way Riccia should be?

Spread it out in between the mats more. New growth will look better.
