Very nice pictures! If it's only fish, then 60ppm is the maximum IMO, and for corals, no more than 5-10.

Wel yea... Ideally the less the better but even as high as 60ppm would be safe.

I think i would bug out if I had trates of 60 in ANY of my tanks, sw or fw. lol

I may just be overly anal retentive though.

you have a lot of meat eaters...as a result they will make a lot of poop ...i would suggest investing in a nitrate reactor since they guys can be messy eaters...

How big is your tank and how big of a weekly water change are you doing? How often do you feed....

Tank size is 110 water changes we haven't done water changes just add water texas heat is lowering it .... Sw level is 1.019 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 ppm

Feed the larger fish once a week and the damsels only 3 of them daily 2x per day

You can make a refugium with chaeto to absorb the nitrates, get a protein skimmer to slow down the rise of nitrates, do water changes weekly, or you can get marine plants and put them in the display.

Well no water changes is the reason you have high nitrates. On that size tank I would be doing about 15g a week. Try it, you'll slowly see your nitrates start to fall.

It's the only way to to really export out the excess, although some macro algae in a sump can help as well.

Oh yeah, youre definitely in need of a water change. I'd try the water changes for a month or so and if you don't see a significant reduction then I'd move on to other options and causes. But I'm confident in the changes helping ALOT!

i would suggest doing either a weekly or bi-weekly water changes of about 3rd of the tank...just lightly syphon your sand to pick up the extra food/poop left on the sand...
