hermits & shrimp

Are hermit crabs (blue legged, red legged, scarlet) compatible with peppermint shrimp?

The reason i ask is because I got a few shrimp today and after acclimation and a few hours with the lights off, the only one i have seen was being eaten by 4 or 5 hermits

I have blue leg and red leg wiith my peppermints. I have not seen them bother the shrimp. I find the red to be more aggressive.

I have both, no problems here.

Most likely the shrimp had already died before being eaten by crabs.

I have a few types of hermits and nothing botherd any of my shrimp..

I was hoping that was the case and I wasn't just leading the lambs to the slaughter there
