Aquarium Advice Regular
7.5 gal fry tank
Fluval built in filter
10g air pump and stone
Tank came with light
79.2°F
Completely cycled
Image shows water changes and parameters
My water is a bit soft, with a gh of 6
Ph is steadily around 7.5
Fish:
11 2-week old fry
6 nebula steel fry (I’m thinking 3 weeks?) purchased two days ago at a reputable aquarium
5 5-week old guppies
Fed Hikari First Bites or frozen baby brine shrimp, rotated daily, fed 3-5x a day
Gravel substrate, 2 java ferns, mini water lettuce. Weird faux stone decoration thing.
Symptoms:
Fish 1- month old fry. Male. , protrusion from anus. Pinkish white. Emaciated. Doesn’t want to swim. As of 11/27. (About to euthanize)
Fish 2- month old fry. Male. skinny, not eating, white stringy poop. Clamped fins As of 11/28
(Left)
Fish 3- 2 week old fry. Bent spine/tail. As of 11/25 (picture 1)
Fish 4- month old fry. Female. Sitting in one place, fins a bit clamped. No other symptoms. She ate today, poop is normal.
Do i have a hexamita infection?! I need help figuring out whats going on so i can prevent more fish loss. I read that soft water may be causing it, and that they won’t show a hole in their head.
