The pH in my well water, after it sits for two days, is 7.8 which I think is too high for my fish, but I keep reading that it's better for the fish to become accustomed to a high ph than to keep testing and changing which is harder on the fish. Should I buy bottled water for PWCs? Thanks

My ph outta my tap is 7.8 fish are fine. They adjust. What they don't like are swings if you do changes with bottled water which is probably closet to 7 that'll be bad for the fish. You can fill the tank with the bottled water them keep using it for changes also but I'd day no to mixing them. Just my 2 cents worth. If you already have fish in there and you want to go the bottle route your gonna have to acclimate them slowly to it. Sick with your own water.
