Hitchhiker star?

It has a body and 5 legs and I watched it semi crawl out of the rock. Brittle maybe?

Also, is it a star that will release toxins? I'm a beginner and deathly afraid of anything that might kill other things.

Def a brittle star. These guys are harmless. Brittle stars run around eating detritus in your tank after dark.

Great! Thanks. I've seen about 3 of the little guys now.
Do you know if they grow very fast? Or will it take ages before he becomes remotely the size of one's you can purches?

They come in different sizes and colors. I would be lying to you if I gave you an actual answer to that question. It might stay small...it might grow to be larger.
