Hi! I spend a lot of time at my neighbor's pond and one of her beautiful koi must have scraped the top of his head/before fin on a rock. It looks like a scale is missing. If it were a goldie in my tank, I'd put the fish in a hospital tank and give it salt baths. What should be done for a Koi?

Thanks!

Honestly, not much! If its just a scale missing, he will recover just fine in his own environment. Unless he has a massive wound, the stress of being moved to a different environment will actually inhibit his natural healing process. You can let your neighbor know his fish an injury and keep an eye on him!
