fixed it for ya... When using the quote button, I find it helpful to copy what I want to quote, then hit the quote button, paste the text to the reply box and then hit the quote button again. Or what is easier for me is:
to type it myself....
The easiest way to quote the entire reply or just a section I find is to use the quote button on the post you want ot quote. It preformats the quote tags and also add the username.

No biggie as we all tend to get off subject every once in a while. Just did not want to clutter a post with less than helpful advice.
I'm testing this out myself- sorry if it's off subject, but what better board to check it out? It's a little new to me- the quoted text is in the same window as the new text as you're typing it so it doesn't SEEM like it's going to appear in a white quote box.

I think I answered my own question: you highlight then quote.ramfan said:Hmm. It didn't work that time. Indeed, as I suspected, it just appears to be part of my new text. Do you highlight then quote or quote then delete what you don't want?
