How Many Hours of light?

Just wondering how many hours I should have my lights on for? They are compact florescent bulbs.

Do I need to leave light on it 24/7?

Or can I turn it on when I get up and turn it off at nighttime?

I kinda new to salt but, I run mine for 12 hrs. Actinic and 10,000k (2) .Then for the last hour or so I run just the Actinic. Everyone seems happy

10 to 12 hours seems to be the suggestion and advice. I have my PC's on a 10 hour timer. Once the PC's go out over the display tank the PC over my fuge comes on for 14 hours.

No, not on your main display tank.
