im at 1.026 and creeping to 1.027, usually i just add 1.024 and im back to around 1.025 to 1.026

is it ok to put in like 1.022 ? and hope my salinity kicks to 1.025?

dont want to shock anything

20 gallon, usually do 2-3 gallon changes

yes you can make up slightly less salty water during water changes to lower the salinity, you can also take some of the salt water out of the tank and add fresh make up water to lower as well

thanks, i did that and it helped but i needed to make sure my next water change wouldnt spike it back, so if i am at 1.026 and changing 2.5 gallons, would 1.024 bring it down? or 1.022

if no one knows, ill just go with 1.023 or so

you want to keep your salinity around 1.023-1.026 if its at 1.026 make some at 1.025 and it will slowly come down when you make the water make it at what you want the salinity to be

hm thats what i was thinking but i noticed when i add 1.025 it still stays at 1.026+ i think because my water evaporates fast

add fresh make up water to the proper level b4 doing a water change that way the salinity is at the proper level
