I'm just wondering... I gravel vac every water change, so once a week. Can one gravel vac too much?

Myself rarely or never lol.
You can over vacuum if you do it more then your tank is use to. If you never vacuum then do a large one you could throw your tank into a mini cycle. If you heavily vacuum once a week that's fine because the bacteria would have colonized different parts of the tank/filter instead of the gravel.

Great! One thing I should have added is if your tank needs regular vacuuming don't skimp on it. I don't vac mine because most have a fair few plants.

Good advice from Mumma. I do my water changes once a week and gravel vac with every change as well. It also comes down to how much you may be over feeding or how many fish are in the tank. If you have a pleco of any kind it's good to do it weekly. They are some major messy catfish.
