So I have a 29g standard tank with a Top fin 30 and AC50 on it. It is lightly planted and that might change to 40% planted in the near future after I do a DIY light fixture.
Ammo 0
Nitrites 0
Trates 20
PH 6.8
Temp sits a 78.

Current stock
1M 2FM platties.
8 Cardinal Tetra's
5 False Julii Cory's

Tank looks kind of empty unless its feeding time. AquaAdvisor puts me at 78% stocked with 258% filtration. I do approx 30% PWC every week.

How should I go about finishing this tank? I added 8 rummy nose to the calculator and that put me at 100%. I tried a pearl gourami pair and that put me at 99%. Aq cautions that Pearls could be aggressive to cardinals?

Suggestions Please?

The platys are going to breed adding more stock to your tank, something to keep in mind. I like a lot of plants. I have a big sword that I have to trim all the time in my 29g.

yeah I have a seperate 10g fry tank that im using to trade with my lfs. I already have 2 x 3 month old fry and 5 x 1 month old in it. im not sure about the pearl gourami's as they are what I was going to put in my 40g breeder im building.

I would add some kuhli loaches! And a dwarf gourami, as well as a small pleco like a bn or clown, or a rio negro, or if you have 500 bucks laying around, a zebra pleco:)

interseting. I do like the idea of the GBR's, im setting up a new 40g but I was going to wait 4 months or so before getting them. Maybe I could put a pair in this tank them move them in 4 months time.

If I finished this off with a pair of GBR's and a clown Pleco what does everyone think of that stock? AqAdvisor says im right at 100%

2 German Blue Ram's
1 Clown Pleco
5 False Julii's
8 Cardinal Tetra's
and 3 Platy's.

I forgot to add, I strongly suggest waiting around 4 months before adding rams since they're sensitive.
