How to know if the gravel is smooth enough...

How do I know if my gravel is smooth enough for bottom fish like corys? It should have been smooth enough before I may have roughened it by rubbing it together while cleaning.

Gravel Substrate

Hello Jo...

If you bought standard pea-sized gravel at the pet store, it will be fine for Corys. It won't be damaged during the cleaning process.

Once the gravel is in, just keep the tank water pure with large, frequent water changes with treated tap water.
