How to start a shrimp tank

Hi guys am looking to start a shrimp only tank what are the basic items I need in the tank and what type of media and filter should I use ??

Ugh .. unfortunately the web is frozen where I am, but the website below has sections on getting a shrimp tank started.

Planet Inverts Home .:. Freshwater Aquarium Shrimp, Crystal Red Shrimp, Red Cherry Shrimp, Crayfish and more.. What shrimp are you looking to do? RCS and Amano I find are the easiest to keep and maintain.

Thanks for your reply I want to start with red cherry shrimp then move onto the bee shrimps upon success that is

Sponge filter, heater, live plants, 5+ gal tank, are just the basics.

Just be aware that RCS are the easiest of the easy to keep, and bee shrimp are very very hard. I would have a "transition shrimp" like A-S grade CRS, before you move on. Once you get in to the world of super-expensive shrimp like Taiwan Bees, there is very little room for error.
