I Have A Question About SAND.

Hi everyone, i was wondering if i can use African Cichlid Mix Aquarium Substrate (sand) and mix it in with gravel in my community tank? I have some left over from a set up for african cichlids but will now hold a JD ( long long story with several threads involved ) and i would hate to see the sand wasted.

Usually that mix is designed to raise water hardness and sometimes also PH in the tank, to make it suitable for your Africans.

I think it would raise the ph to much for him.
