Ideal Parameters?

Hi everyone! Just wanted to know, what are the ideal parameters for a tank?? So what is the ideal levels of...

Ammonia
Nitrates
Nitrites

Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: Under 40 ppm, although 0-20 is better.

Ideal is 0,0, <20. Although that nitrate # is arbitrary, the overall goal is to keep nitrates as low as possible.

Thank everyone! I was unsure of the nitrates most, they have gone from 20 ppm to 5 ppm between one water change, and I had jut wanted to know what reading was better...

Glad I could help! And, if at any time you are having problems with high nitrates, live plants will help reduce them. But right now it looks like you are perfectly fine.
