I have a 20 gallon freshwater tank with live plants, a few of which are anchored to driftwood with sewing thread. Last night I cleaned he tank and ripped out some plants. This morning I found my rubbernose pleco Daizy caught in a loop of thread. I carefully cut her free, but the thread had cut into the flesh of her belly and made a small wound at the front of her dorsal fin. She is resting in a corner of the tank now, but I have read so much conflicting advice about melafix, salt, heat, leave her alone, I'm. It sure what I should do for her! Please help!
I will start by cleaning the tank again. She shares the tank with 2 ottos 4 pink zebras and a few platys, some of which are on their way to the fish store.
