he was shriveled up yesterday, now hes like this, i took him out and smelled him and he doesnt stink....not sure if hes dead or not.
is it dead? :(

wow, i swear he was dead, he did not look healthy in anyway and my apple snail kept climbing on top of him, but i left him in there just to make sure and he has slowly opened up and attached himself to the bottom of the glass, crazy!
yea snails can really fool you. 
you did the right thing by smelling it. if they are dead they REALLY smell awful. also sometimes when they are dead if you pick them up and hold them upside down they will fall out of the shell. i've had a snail stay in the same place for 4 days! i did the smell test on the 3rd day and just waited. the next day he was on the glass cleaning away. weird.

It's weird cuz last night he was all shriveled up and looked very ill lol i don't know how something that looked THAT sickly could be alive still lol
