Is it possible to OD your fish on water conditioner?

I would assume it is possible. My bottle of Prime says 5x dose is safe in an emergency nitrite situation. Though, I would rather do a PWC or two if it was that much of an emergency.
 
On the stress coat there are intructions for water changes and for healing fins
 
My opinion it is best to use the amount suggested and that is all because they put that amount for a reason.
 
I imagine it could be possible, but I think it would take quite a bit. I use Tetra AquaSafe Plus, and I just checked my bottle.... doesn't say anything about overdosing. Whenever I do a pwc, I'll usually go over a little, and I've never seen any adverse effects.
 
As with any chemical, it is always possible to OD. Humans can OD on water. Just use it within reason or per its instructions and you will be fine.

I had te same question. The guy at my local fish store said. Said they can't od off that stuff. It's just a waste of money. Cost of the chemical.
