is this a Syconoid sponge?

Is this a Syconoid sponge it has small black dots on it....friend or foe? how do I get rid of it what eats it? Thanks....

I have no idea if that is asconoid or syconoid, but definitely a sponge. Sponges are just filter feeders. They can't hurt anything. There are fish that eat, but I can't remember what they are off the top of my head.
