This is how one of my fish looked this morning. On its left side it has had a red spot for several months but it's always looked the same. I had a plecostamus in the tank that was killing my fish so I gave it away. I assumed that the red spot was just an injury from the plecostamus. Now it looks like a big worm or something on the right side! Any ideas what this is?

2~What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give exact values.
Don't know
3~ How large is the tank? How long has the tank been set up?
30 gals. Several years
4~What type of filtration are you using? Please give the name and number (i.e. Fluval 304) and amount of gph if known.
Marineland Penguin Power Filter, 20 to 30-Gallon, 150 GPH
5~How many fish are in the tank? What kinds of fish are they and what are their current sizes?
Only 2 fish. About 3 1/2" long each.
6~When is the last time you did a water change and vacuum the gravel? How often do you do this? How much water do you remove at a time?
30% water change and vacuum gravel about once a month.
7~How long have you had the fish? If the fish is new, how did you acclimate it/them?
Several years.
8~Have you added anything new to the tank--decor, new dechlorinator, new substrate, etc.?
Nothing new.
9~What kind of food have you been feeding your fish, have you changed their diet recently?
Tropical flakes and frozen bloodworms
