A white spot showed up on one of my cardinal tetras. I haven't been in the hobby long. Need help.

hard to tell from the pictures, but ich will look like grains of salt. How long have they been in the tank? And do you see any scratching?

No I haven't seen any scratching. They have been in the tank for a couple of months now. I did put in 6 glowlight tetras two weeks ago. Another cardinal tetra looks like hes got one starting in the same place. It looks more like a pimple starting under the skin and coming to a head rather than salt. Should I treat for ich just in case?

Sounds like ich starting :(

The easiest way to treat FW ich is to slowly raise the temperature of the tank to 86-88 and leave it there until 2 weeks after the last ich spot is seen. The heat will speed up the life cycle and kill the ich off.
