This is the first time it's happening since I've kept fishes. The Java moss is yellowing and I have no idea what is missing in my water.

My tank is a 20g and is very low light, I only got a small LED made for my 5G.

Even the moss that I cut out from my community tank is in better shape, and I just let them in a small bucket of water in the washroom!

I had the same thing happen with flame moss a few years back. Low light and it was growing like a weed for a few years. I pulled some out and put in a vase near a window. Then over a period of a couple of weeks nearly all of the moss in the tank turned yellow then brown. I did not record parameters at the time so I can't tell you what was going on. No major changes in stocking, filtration, lighting, or maintenance. Could not figure that one out.
I was able to start up the moss at a later time using the small batch I put in the vase.

I guess I'll put new moss in then. I don't think I have a choice.

I even dosed co2 and it didn't help.

I have green hair algea though, I wonder if the 2 are related.
