Snails other than nerite will breed rather quickly in aquariums.
Red Cherry shrimp would work well for this tank. I would start with at least 6 with a mix of males and females.

do cherry shrimp and Red Crystal Shrimp interbreed?
Cherry shrimp are neocaridina, crystal are caridina, they do not interbreed. CRS require a lower pH, I tried to challenge this and failed miserably. I wouldn't put anyone else through the same. RCS can take near anything but high heavy metals and moderate to high copper.

might get a 6 gallon instead
the stock will be 2 frogs, a few snails, and a few shrimp. give me a better idea of the number of snails(Pomacea sp's) and maybe crystal shrimp cause I find them more aesthetic, tho they are more expensive. I'm prepared to expend if breeding occurs
