hey folks,

i was wandering if i bought java moss balls, and untied them to make them flat. would it be ok i i stapled it to drift wood? because where i want to put it is a pain to tied. chosen the balls because the last one i had was a goo 5mm thick. would the staples, be ok it the tank?

thanks

I was wondering this too. I just made a marimo carpet on dw and thought about staples. Err on the side of caution and tied itt tho. I was worried about the metal breaking down and effecting water quality. The only metal I use in the tanks is lead. The staples might rust, not someting I was willing to risk.

So my opinion is: use fishing line and sleep better at night.

Java moss ball? So not marimo?
If you're using the staples until it took hold then that can take weeks
Not a good idea to risk
