He was swimming on his side in the bag and he still swimming on his side how can I help

All you can do is keep any other fish from attacking him and hopefully it will recover by being in good clean water. Sadly, in a bag, fish can get caught in corners or get squished and there's nothing you can do for them. At this point, the best you can do is notify the place you bought it from to let them know the situation in case the fish does not pull through.
