Juvie BN pleco not eating???

Ok, so I got a very small BN pleco at my LFS on Sat. And all he is doing is sticking to the walls. I put a algae wafer in there and he hasn't touched it (as far as I know)... Ammonia 0 Nitrates and Nitrites 0

I never feed my plecos, they just take what's left and have always been happy and growing!

He may just need time to settle in. He just got taken from his home and dropped into a new one. Plus if your food is different than what the LFS fed him he may need time to adjust. Keep trying with different foods and give him time.

I'm too lazy to blanch anything, I just zap my veggies in the microwave with some hot water.

what does this do? so just sticking peeled cucumber pieces wedged in the rock is done wrong? um.....

Cucumbers are mostly water. You can peel them and them place them raw in tanks. Other veggies are more fibrous and it's easier for the fish to blanche them first.

boil water

drop veggies in and continue boil

test with fork to see if veggies are cooked

remove veggies from boiling water and plunge into an ice water bath

keep veggies in ice water bath until completely chilled
