Leather Question Part Deux

So I got the angry green finger leather frag for free because it fell and wasnt looking too hot and now it has a black tint to half of it and is shedding. I have seen a leather shed but never turn black in a matter of 8 hours. Im assuming I should pull it out of the tank and throw it away but I am open to solutions. Any help guys??? When it seemed my leather frag was having a hard time, I was advised to lightly brush it clean of the shedding (perhaps with a soft, very fine bush, lightly) and to place it in a higher light area with moderate flow. It may help. I would not give up on it just yet.

I would wait as well. As long as you tank is not a nano or the leather is huge, you should not see any ill effects even if it does die. Just run carbon if you don't already.
